What personal data YieLab collects when you reach out through the contact form or the chat, why I collect it, and how to ask me to correct or delete it.

Who is responsible for this data

I am the data controller: Santiago Yie, operating as YieLab (yielab.com), based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. For any question about this policy or your data, contact info@yielab.com.

What I collect

When you submit the contact form or the chat's details form:

  • Your email address
  • Your name and company name, if you provide them
  • Your message (contact form) or a summary of the conversation: what you need, existing systems, scale and timeframe (chat)

To rate-limit submissions and block abuse, my hosting provider processes your IP address transiently, and the chat uses Cloudflare’s anti-bot check. I do not store your IP address.

How I measure the site

I measure how the site is used in two ways: with my own code on my own servers, and with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which Cloudflare runs for me without cookies. Each visit records only:

  • The page path, without the query string or anything after a #
  • The language the page was shown in
  • Which link or button was clicked, or whether you reached the end of a lesson, by a name I chose
  • From Cloudflare Web Analytics: the site that referred you, your country, your browser and device type, and how fast the page loaded

There is no identifier and no profile: no measurement can be traced back to you or linked to another visit. Cloudflare uses your IP address to work out the country and does not keep it in the reports. The only cookie on the site is yl_locale, which remembers your language for a year if you change it, and measures nothing.

How the chat widget handles your data

Each message is sent to an external AI provider to generate the reply, and I save the conversation in an assistant-monitoring tool to review and improve its answers. While the tab is open, the conversation also stays in your browser. If you submit the details form, the AI summarises the conversation and that summary reaches me by email, the same way a contact-form message does.

Why I collect it

To respond to your enquiry about my services — reading your message and replying by email about the engagement you asked about — and, for the chat widget, to review and improve the assistant’s answers. I do not use it for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond that.

How long I keep it

Email submissions arrive in a single inbox; they are not copied into a CRM. I keep them for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any engagement that follows, and delete them no later than 24 months after my last contact with you. Chat conversations are stored in Langfuse for 90 days and deleted automatically after that.

Sharing

I do not sell your personal data. I share it only with those needed to run the site and the assistant: my hosting, email and anti-bot provider (Cloudflare), an external AI provider, and an assistant-monitoring tool (Langfuse).

Your rights

Under Argentina's Ley 25.326 and, where applicable, the EU GDPR, you can ask to access, correct, or delete the personal data I hold about you, or withdraw your consent to be contacted. Send these requests to info@yielab.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — in Argentina, the Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública (AAIP).
